Chuck Homer- Biography

Chuck Homer is a founding partner of INNOVA Performance Solutions and focuses on business strategy, leadership and sales effectiveness.

At INNOVA Chuck has conducted numerous strategic planning, leadership and business improvement projects for both privately owned companies and not for profit organizations and helped them to clarify direction, adopt best practices and improve their business results.

In order to help companies to achieve their potential Chuck has conducted executive search engagements, employing a comprehensive methodology that delivers results.

Chuck is also a Chair of a TEC group of fifteen CEO’s in the Greater Toronto Area, Chuck helps member CEO’s, Presidents and Business Owners develop professionally as leaders and address the major issues and opportunities in their businesses. TEC is the pre-eminent CEO organization in the world with 9,500 members and is dedicated to improving the effectiveness and enhancing the lives of CEO’s.

For the two years before founding INNOVA, Chuck was President of Corporate Solutions, a consulting firm focused on strategic, business and marketing planning.

Previously, Chuck was the CEO for three companies over a fifteen year period: GSW Inc., a $250 million publicly traded North American manufacturer of water heaters, water pumps, heating equipment and vinyl building products; LePage’s Limited, Canada’s leading manufacturer of adhesives, sealants and decorating accessories; and Shopsy’s Foods, a leading manufacturer of processed deli meats and salads.

Prior to this, Chuck held various senior sales and marketing management roles with Unilever/Lever Brothers in Toronto, Canada and London, England.

Chuck has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto.

Bill Whittaker - Biography

Bill Whittaker is a founding partner of INNOVA Performance Solutions and focuses in the human resources, strategy, organizational development and labour relations areas.

Bill has gained extensive, first hand experience in the areas of change management, leadership development, team building, performance management, reward and recognition, negotiation and facilitation. He has had success in developing and implementing effective and fully integrated human resource processes and systems to help organizations achieve their desired objectives and has come to recognize the importance of leadership and organizational culture to achieving organizational success.

Bill represents and provides counsel to employers in labour relations matters at all stages of the dispute resolution process in the areas of contract negotiations, collective agreement interpretation, discipline, layoff and recall, and performance management.

For the two years before founding INNOVA, Bill was President of Whittaker & Associates, a human resources consulting firm.

Prior to leaving a successful career in health care management to establish his own consulting company in 1998, Bill had over 20 years experience in human resources and senior health care management. Bill served for eight years as Executive Vice President Corporate Services for a major acute care hospital. Throughout his career he has provided corporate leadership in the functional areas of Human Resources and Labour Relations, Education and Organizational Development, Finance and Administration, Public Relations, Purchasing and Materials Management, and Laboratory Services.

Bill has an Honours BA in Labour Economics from McMaster University and has held the Certified Human Resources Professional (C.H.R.P.) designation since 1990.
